“Life” for life. Public activists, who had participated in the meeting with Vladimir Putin, opened the medical rehabilitation center

The rehabilitation center “Life” for children and grownups started its work in Labytnangi. It provides assistance to people suffering from post-stroke disorders and various neurological ailments. So far, fifteen people receive help in rehabilitation here, but resources of the center are larger. It can take patients from nearby populated areas. The initiative of the public organization “Dari dobro” (Give the good) became very popular.

The public activists managed to open the unique center owing to participation in grant contests of various levels. Victories helped to create serious material base and to start providing assistance at the high professional level. The following specialists work at the center: a psychiatrist, a physical therapy instructor, a speech therapist, a massage therapist and a nurse. In the near future a physical education coach will begin to conduct classes. Here it is possible to pass sessions of bio-acoustic correction, by means of which speech centers are stimulated, to improve concentration of attention, to correct behavioral disorders. Also the specialists conduct neurosensory stimulation of the brain with sounds, speech therapy massage. The most important thing is that an individual technique is selected for each patient.

“We want to give children and grownups the opportunity to pass rehabilitation in the region. Now many people go outside the region for such services, and many of them even change their place of residence. But most importantly, almost always to achieve the maximum effect of the procedure a person needs to receive it constantly, not once a year or six months”, - the head of the non-profit organization “Dari dobro” Yana Budygina said.

The specialists of the center passed education on postural management in Saint Petersburg. This is a special method of treatment through the correct position of the body of a patient with disorders of the musculoskeletal system, with cerebral palsy, paralysis. Also the suit “Reform” developed by specialists from Saint Petersburg was purchased. The suit helps a patient to remember the principle of possession of his or her own body to those, who experienced a stroke or a traumatic brain injury.

As we should remind, in Moscow Yana Budygina presented the project “Comprehensive support and rehabilitation of children with disabilities and their families” to Vladimir Putin. Within the forum “Community” the head of the state was acquainted to the projects-winners of the contest of presidential grants.
