Life of nomads will be modeled within the unified informational system

The unified informational system on modeling and forecasting of socioeconomic development of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North works in Yamal. This information was given by the vice-governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Irina Sokolova within the sitting of the regional government in Salekhard.

As she says, now nomads do not need to collect certificates at receiving of state and municipal services. The certificates will be given within interdepartmental interaction. Besides, a new edition of the law about national trading stations was adopted. It organized measures of their state support. Also the law about guarantees of rights for persons conducting traditional way of life was adopted. It generalizes all measures of support, which are foreseen in branch legislation of the region, and regional state programs for this category of population and establishes regional standard of minimal material provision of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North. The regional law on reindeer husbandry was adopted in the first reading. According to instructions of the governor of Yamal, work on preparation of the draft law on fishery was started. It is planned to elaborate it till the end of the year. The list of measures of social support for indigenous ethnic minorities of the North has been enlarged since the 1st of January of 2016. The size of the monthly allowance was 1.5 times increased. As Irina Sokolova underlines, it is possible to state that not only the regional base on protection of rights of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North is being created but also new trends are being formed in this sphere. These are: management practices, new regulations in the legislation, minimum standards of provision of indigenous northerners and other directions of work.
