MMA champions held master classes in the new sports center in Salekhard

MMA fighter Alexander Shlemenko and Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion Andrey Koreshkov participated in the opening ceremony of the martial arts center “Northern Character”. They also held the first master classes for athletes.

“It is very pleasant that mixed martial arts are being rapidly developed, special thanks to the Yamal leadership for promotion of healthy lifestyle and development of sports in the region”, Alexander Shlemenko said.

As it should be reminded, the martial arts center “Northern Character” was opened in Salekhard on the 14th of February. This is the first sports object in Yamal, where more than 15 sports areas will be developed. They are: boxing, taekwondo, sambo, freestyle wrestling, MMA, crossfit, workout, sports aerobics, fitness, yoga and other sports.

On the area 1400 square meters there are training halls adapted for zones of boxing, wrestling, crossfit and power extreme, as well as a gym equipped with modern sports equipment. In addition to martial arts, residents of the town will be able to visit an athletics hall and a fitness studio.
