Monuments in municipalities of Yamal were renovated for the Victory anniversary

43 objects dedicated to the memory of Victory in the Great Patriotic War were renovated and improved in municipalities of the region. The information was given in the department of tariff policy, power engineering, housing and municipal complex.

Thus, the Square of Military Glory was repaired in the town Gubkinskiy: more than 13000 square meters of the territory were reconstructed, work on installing of the pedestal for military machinery, monuments, outdoor lighting was fulfilled.

The memorial complex “The monument to fallen soldiers 1941-1945” was reconstructed in the settlement Muzhi, Shuryshkarskiy district. The area of the renovated territory made more than 5000 square meters.

The square and the obelisk to those people, who had died in the Great Patriotic War, were reconstructed in the settlement Ovgort, Shuryshkarskiy district. The work was fulfilled on the area of more than 2000 square meters. The obelisk, a stage and a multimedia screen were assembled, a fence was installed, paving stones were laid and the territory was landscaped during improvement of the central square.

The public garden in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War with the area of 400 square meters was landscaped in the settlement Salemal, Yamalskiy district. A monument made of granite was built, outdoor lighting was installed and paving stones were laid.

The work was financed from the regional and local budgets and was included in the regional program “Creation of comfortable urban environment” within the national project “Housing and urban environment”.

As it should be noted, for today in the region there are 54 objects that are dedicated to the memory of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945: three monumental structures, 17 memorials and memorial complexes, 23 monuments, two obelisks and nine other commemorative places.
