More than 22 thousand residents of Yamal will vote beyond the region
More than 22 thousand residents of Yamal are planning to vote on the election of the president of Russia not at a place of residence. This information was given on the 13th of March by the chairman of the election commission of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Andrey Gibert.
Receiving of applications on inclusion to the list of voters at a place of stay within the election of the president was completed on the 12th of March. 22199 voters from Yamal declared about voting on the 18th of March not at a place of residence. 5213 of them submitted applications to the multifunctional centers, 3545 – to territorial election commissions, 6089 – to precinct election commissions, and, according to the data on the 9th of March, 7352 – through the portal of state services. It is remarkable that the time of submission of applications in multifunctional centers of Yamal is considered the best in the country. In general in the country more than 4 million and 200 thousand residents of Russia submitted applications on voting in the election on the 18th of March at a place of stay. From the 13th of March to 14:00 of the 17th of March it is possible to submit a special application only in a precinct commission at a place of registration. It needs to provide the application with the special security mark. Andrey Gibert asked his colleagues in commissions to keep the issue under control and not to allow any infringements. The application becomes a document, which allows bringing in a person to the list of voters, when he or she comes to the voting station. A part of the mark will be unglued and attached near the surname, and the application itself will be taken by members of the commission. It guarantees that the citizen will not go to vote repeatedly at a place of residence. Three million such marks were printed according to the decision of the Central Election Commission. As we should remind, the election of the president of the Russian Federation will take place on the 18th of March of 2018. Earlier the Central Election Commission registered 8 people as candidates to be the president of the Russian Federation: Sergey Baburin (“Russian National Union”), Pavel Grudinin (KPRF), Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LDPR), Vladimir Putin (the independent candidate); Ksenia Sobchak (“Civil initiative”); Maxim Suraykin (“Communists of Russia”), Boris Titov (“Party of Growth”); Grigory Yavlinsky (“Yabloko”).
