More than two hundred pools will be installed on the fish-breeding plant for whitefish in the settlement Kharp

Pools for growing of fingerlings and maintenance of breeding flock and also special wintering modules, from which fish will be brought to spawning places, will appear soon on the fish-breeding plant in the settlement Kharp, Purovskiy district.

Their total volume will make more than 3000 cubic meters. The yearly planned number of fingerlings makes about 100 million. As the chief of the project on building of the plant in Kharp Danil Eltekov notes, the specialists will take natural selection into consideration at growing of fingerlings. It needs to understand that not all 100 million fingerlings will survive in natural environment but a half of this number. A fingerling will be grown as minimum up to 200 milligrams. It is viable on this stage. Nutrition will consist only of natural food. During the first two weeks it will be only live food Artemia, later – active nutrition with start food manufactured on the plant. Places for release of fingerlings to water will be defined scientifically, basically lakes, to where they will be brought in special containers. As the specialists note, reproduction of population of whitefish species is a long process. It will be possible to see the first results not earlier than in 7 or 8 years. It is planned to open the fish-growing plant in the settlement Kharp in the end of this year.
