The All-Russian science festival NAUKA 0+ will be held in the sports and health-improving complex “Snezhny” in Labytnangi on the 14th and the 15th of December. Its platforms are designed for the widest audience. NAUKA 0+ includes fascinating master classes, entertaining experiments and interactive games for children and grownups, not boring lectures of scientists and popularizers of science. The festive atmosphere will be created with the show of giant soap bubbles and “NitroDrive” with liquid nitrogen. In 2019 the All-Russian science festival NAUKA 0+ is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the Periodic law of chemical elements by the famous Russian scientist Dmitry Mendeleev. The majority of interactive platforms organized by educational institutions of Labytnangi, Noyabrsk, Nadym, Kharp and Yar-Salye will be dedicated exactly to chemical science. Guests of the festival will be able to participate in entertaining tests and experiments, through games to get acquainted and consolidate knowledge about chemical elements. An archaeologist of Yamal from the scientific center for study of the Arctic Daniil Tupakhin will give a lecture on how chemistry helps scientists to explore artifacts of antiquity.

Traditionally, much attention at the festival will be paid to the Arctic theme. The interactive exposition of the scientific center for study of the Arctic will acquaint with life of scientists in expeditions and ecological studies being conducted in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Popular scientific lectures of scientists from Tyumen State University, Institute for water and ecological problems, SB RAS (Barnaul), Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute of Roshydromet (Saint Petersburg) will be dedicated to study of the Arctic. A test-cosmonaut of the Roscosmos cosmonaut detachment Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and the editor-in-chief of the scientific and popular magazine “Schrodinger’s cat”, the editor of the oLogy portal, a representative of the Interdepartmental working group on popularization of science and technology in the Russian Federation Grigory Tarasevich will be guests of the science festival.
