Oil reserves in the East-Messoyakha field increased on 50 million tons

Oil reserves in the East-Messoyakha field increased on 32 percent or almost 50 million tons.

Now they make 204 million tons. Geological prospecting that was conducted on the group Messoyakha fields in 2013-2014 helped to transfer a considerable part of reserves from the category of preliminary assessed to the category of industrial reserves.

During last year specialists built four exploratory wells, conducted seismic survey in 3D on the area in 490 square kilometers, specified a geological model, on the basis of which the territory was prepared to development. This year it is planned to start search on non-prospected objects of the East-Messoyakha and the West-Messoyakha fields. Full-scale development of the group is planned for 2016 after completion of building of the trunk oil pipeline Zapolyarye –Purpe, as it is informed on the website neftegaz.ru. Now total extractable reserves of oil and condensate of categories C1+C2 of the East-Messoyakha and the West-Messoyakha fields make about 480 million tons.
