Own brand. Trend-setters of arctic fashion will appear in Yamal

The new project “Yamal – the center for arctic fashion” was started up in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Masters of national costumes of indigenous peoples of the North, professional and novice designers will participate in it.

The contest was organized by the production studio “Nelly Brener” with support of the regional public organization “The center for development of civil initiatives”. It will take place in three stages. The contest participants will be announced on the 15th of September. From mid-September to December the contestants will be trained, create their own collections, and the audience will watch their success in the weekly TV program. Records of the program and a lot of interesting videos with the participants and speakers will be posted on the YouTube channel of the contest. In early December, Salekhard will host the closing stage and the final of the contest. The winners will be awarded with the grant from the organizers of the contest for creation of their collections, participation in the Fashion Week and own collection in showcases of boutiques in St. Petersburg, as it is reported on the website of the Arctic fashion center. All the designers participating in the contest will have the opportunity to develop a personal brand, to create and to open their own business. The knowledge gained during the process of training and stimulating prizes will help the novice designers to organize the work correctly. Each master will be able to present works to the audience at the grandiose exhibition and sale in December.
