People of Yamal will go to "The Watch of Memory" to Rostov Oblast

On the 18th of April representatives of the consolidated search group "Yamal" will go to the interregional expedition "The Watch of Memory" to Rostov Oblast. It will last till the 14th of May. It is organized by the department of youth policy and tourism of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the regional center for patriotic education.

The group "Yamal" includes 15 participants from the towns Noyabrsk, Labytnangi, Muravlenko and the settlement Kharp of Priuralskiy district. All of them have tourist skills and passed necessary training for conducting of search work. The people from Yamal will participate in field work for search and reburial of war-dead soviet warriors. The representatives of Yamal will become the participants of the ceremony of burial of war-dead soldiers with military honors on the place of the military memorial dedicated to the heroic deed of heroes of the Great Patriotic War and also will participate in the guard of honor. Also the participants of the expedition will visit the Don military and historical museum, the Rostov regional museum of local lore and the archeological museum-reserve "Tanais". By the information given to IA "Sever-Press" in the press-service of the governor of Yamal, the consolidated search group of Yamal was created in September of 2009. For the first time its representatives participated in the search expedition in May of 2010 on the territory of Bryansk Oblast. This year this is already the fifth expedition for the Yamal group. It will take place according to the invitation of the chairperson of the Rostov regional branch of the All-Russian public movement on immortalization of memory of people, who died at defense of the Fatherland, "The Search Movement of Russia", the chief of the regional club in Rostov "Pamyat-Poisk" (Memory-Search) Vladimir Scherbanov.
