"Popular ethnology" will be published in Yamal for arriving public employees and rotation workers
The book "Popular ethnology for public employees, migrants and rotation workers" will be published in Yamal.
The book layout was presented by the chief researcher of the sector for ethnology of the center for study of the Arctic, doctor of philological sciences Natalia Tsymbalistenko on the press-conference in Salekhard. As she notes, conflicts with people residing in tundra happen at big stream of migrants to Yamal. It happens neither because of some confrontation nor malice but because of unawareness of ethnical culture by arriving people. The new edition will serve a prompt at preparation to the examination, which will be passed by public employees invited from other regions to work, migrants and rotation workers. The head of the region Dmitriy Kobylkin already aroused the issue of necessity of such examination, as she notes. In "Popular ethnology" it is possible to find difficult tasks that officials will solve and usual rules of everyday life of Nenets, Khanty, Selkoup people that are necessary for migrants and rotation workers to know. The book was written by Natalia Tsymbalistenko in joint authorship with the head of the chair for humanitarian education at the regional institute of development of education Viktor Parshukov. Big amount of photographs made in expeditions by the deputy director of the center, doctor of sciences Andrey Lobanov are used in the book. There are mythologemes, sayings, proverbs recorded from the words of the Nenets woman-writer Anna Nerkagi. "Popular ethnology" will arouse interest not only of arriving people but also local inhabitants of Yamal.
