Rational use of associated petroleum gas in ninety-five percent was achieved in Yamal

The conference dedicated to interaction of the governments of Tyumen Oblast, Yamal and Yugra with Gazprom and oil companies on rational use of associated petroleum gas took place in Tyumen, as it is informed on the website angi.ru.

The amount of burning of associated petroleum gas almost 2.5 times decreased during the latest 6 years. Nevertheless, the level of rational use of associated petroleum gas in 95 percent was reached only in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In Yugra this index is smaller – 93 percent. This information was given by the deputy plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in Ural Federal Okrug Alexander Kaliberda. A deputy governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Aleksey Sitnikov underlines that "Gazprom dobycha Urengoy" utilizes practically 100 percent of petroleum gas during several years. Its bigger part is delivered to the gas-processing plant. The blue fuel received in the result is delivered to gas-transporting system of Gazprom, and broad fraction of light hydrocarbons is sent to the petrochemical complex. Also, as Aleksey Sitnikov notes, in the region amounts of burning of associated petroleum gas in flare stacks decreased from 4 milliard cubic meters to 700 million cubic meters per year from 2009 to 2014.
