Reindeer, sleighs and the vast Yamal are being shown in London

London hosts the photo exhibition of the world contest “Travel Photographer of the Year”. Two professional photographers from Suffolk organized it for photographers-travelers in 2003.

From 2010 to 2015 the initiative was supported by the Royal geographical society. Now the contest is conducted with support of the University of Greenwich. The jury includes the best photographers of the world, who prefer highly artistic images of urban and natural landscapes. Every year images by the winners appear at the exhibition in the Museum of London, and later they are sent within the traveling exhibition around the world, as the magazine “Ural Meridian” informs. Among the world’s landscapes, portraits and images of city streets it is possible to see snowy deserts of the Russian Arctic, reindeer sleighs and faces of indigenous inhabitants of the Far North. A Russian photographer Aleksey Suloyev brought these pictures from Yamal. He is the only Russian photographer among the leaders. Till the 28th of April one and a half million people from around the world will visit the exhibition “Travel Photographer of the Year”.
