Representatives of Russian regions are visiting Bovanenkovo field

In the central office of the company “Gazprom” the deputy chairperson of the board Valery Golubev and the chief of the department (on work with authorities of the Russian Federation, Gazprom) Vladimir Markov met with the representatives of bodies of the executive power from 17 Russian regions.

The visit to Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug to Bovanenkovo field, where the unique Yamal center of gas extraction is being developed, is the final stage of the event. The guests can see how basic production objects work, they can get acquainted to experience of use of advanced technologies, receive information about fulfillment of the complex of nature-protecting activities and forming of constructive relations with indigenous peoples of Yamal. According to the words of Valery Golubev within the meeting, energy security of Russia in much depends on effective work of gas industry. Gazprom is responsible for safe work of the Unified System of Gas Supply of Russia. For this the company reconstructs and repairs objects of extraction, transportation and processing of gas, builds new gas pipelines, develops large extraction centers, including on the Yamal peninsula. Last year 206 populated areas were gasified on the program of gasification of regions of the Russian Federation, what allowed increasing the level of gasification of the country up to 66.2%. This year the work will be continued, as it is informed on the portal gazprom.ru. The participants of the meeting also spoke about key directions of development of cooperation between Gazprom and bodies of the executive power, which were outlined by Valery Golubev. They include increase in effectiveness of investments to gasification, including due to development of domestic technologies, perfection of active legislation that regulated relations between providers and consumers of energy resources. In Yamal Gazprom extracts more than 90% of natural gas and fulfills several large projects. Among them there are the following: development of Bovanenkovo field, Zapolyarnoye field, Urengoyskoye field and Yamburgskoye field. The prospected and preliminarily evaluated reserves of gas of Bovanenkovo field, the largest one in the region, make 4 trillion and 900 milliard cubic meters. The project amount of gas extraction on Cenomanian-Apt deposits of the field was defined in the amount 115 milliard cubic meters per year. The newest technologies and technological decisions are used at development of the field. Industrial extraction was started in Bovanenkovo in 2012.
