Rosneft will launch the project “Rospan” this year

This year Rosneft Oil Company is planning to launch the gas project “Rospan”, which will provide annual gas production in the amount of more than 21 milliard cubic meters.

“Construction of key facilities on the project “Rospan” is in the final stage. It is planned to launch the project this year. It will provide annual gas production in the amount of more than 21 milliard cubic meters, liquid hydrocarbons - in the amount of more than 5 million tonnes, as well as production of technical propane butane - in the amount of more than 1 million tonnes”, as the information policy department of “Rosneft” reported.

In March of 2013 “Rospan international” became part of the Rosneft group of companies. Large-scale development of the project has been started since that moment. The company fulfills development of the East-Urengoyskoye, Novo-Urengoyskoye and Resursnoye license areas in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Achimov deposits are the main objects of development.

In addition, preparation for the launch of the Severo-Komsomolskoye field located on the territory of Nadymskiy and Purovskiy districts of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is being continued. In the first quarter of the year exploitation drilling of wells with the length of the horizontal section of the borehole up to 2 kilometers was continued, construction and assemblage are performed at infrastructural facilities, at oil and gas treatment facilities (a central production facility, a booster compressor station, and others). Extraction in the field in the first quarter of 2020 within experimental-industrial development two times increased in comparison to the level of the first quarter of 2019 and made 14 thousand barrels per day (0.2 million tonnes for the period).
