Sacred soil from Brest Fortress was given to the school museum in Noviy Urengoy

The important event took place in Noviy Urengoy before celebration of the Great Victory Day – laying the capsule with the sacred soil in the school museum. The soil was brought by the head of the administration Ivan Kostogriz from the historical memorable Hero City Brest.

The chairperson of the town parliament Igor Podovzhniy gave the capsule with the sacred soil to the school museum of military and labor glory. By his words, it is possible to speak much about the Great Patriotic War, but there are places, which should be remembered. Brest Fortress is one of such heroic places. He also congratulated the winners of the regional contest of creative works "I love you, my Russia" and gave memorable prizes from the Legislative Assembly of Yamal to the schoolchildren. The head of the museum Olga Danilova thanked the town administration for this honor to keep a part of the soil of Brest Fortress and for the opportunity to touch upon a page of history. Employees of the museum promise that they will explain significance of the capsule with the sacred soil from Brest land to every pupil in the town.
