Schoolchildren of Noviy Urengoy learnt about specialized higher education institutions of oil and gas branch

In Noviy Urengoy in the administrative center of the company "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" schoolchildren met with representatives of specialized higher education institutions. This is one of the activities of the program "I choose a speciality" and the project "Gazprom-classes".

By the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" in the service on public relations and mass media of the company, representatives of "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" Valentin Kramar and "Gazprom dobycha Urengoy" Nikolay Tucha, specialists of the town department of education came to the meeting with the schoolchildren. They told the senior pupils about work of the Gubkin Russian state university of oil and gas, Ufa oil technical university, Tyumen state oil and gas university and Tomsk polytechnic university. These higher education institutions educate engineers, including, for oil and gas branch. The participants of corporate personnel projects learnt about entering and further education at the universities. The pilot project of the program "I choose a speciality" was started in May of 2010 on the basis of the upper secondary school in the town Noviy Urengoy to form promising personnel reserve of engineers and technical employees. Now the program includes a school of the settlement Tazovskiy and all schools of Noviy Urengoy. Schoolchildren interested in education in specialized higher education institutions and further job placement in the company "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" can participate in the project. The project "Gazprom-classes" supplemented the program "I choose a speciality" last year. They are organized for specialized and intensive education of pupils on specialized school subjects. Practice-orientated lessons for further receiving of professional education on engineering professions are planned. The project is conducted at two schools of Noviy Urengoy.
