None of large projects in the Arctic will be closed, in spite of the fact that there are fewer opportunities to fulfill them because of optimization of the budget.

This information was given by the minister for natural resources and environment of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy on the press-conference within the forum “The Arctic Days in Moscow”. Within the project “Yamal LNG” in 2017 it is planned to launch the first ships. Also Rosneft, Gazprom will continue active development of their shelf projects. LUKOIL will start drilling on the East-Taymyr area. Private business does not intend stopping arctic projects. The launched projects are actively developed. In fact, amounts of work are enough in order not to stop them, as the minister declares, adding that the state scrutinizes opportunities to help companies not only financially but also with administrative resources, as arctic-info.ru reports. As Sergey Donskoy notes, such support will allow stimulating development of many projects, at that, considerably economizing budgetary funds.
