Soil from Brest Fortress will be kept in the museum of Tarko-Salye

The ceremony of passing the soil from Brest Fortress, from the place of the fierce battle of the Great Patriotic War, to the exposition took place in the historical and ethnographic museum of Purovskiy district.

By the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" in the press-service of the district administration, the soil from Belarus was brought by the head of the district Yevgeniy Skryabin. Together with the governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin and heads of municipalities he visited the memorial complex "Brest Hero Fortress". Now the exhibit will take its worthy place in the exposition of the museum dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Passing the gift to employees of the museum, Yevgeniy Skryabin suggested organizing trips for schoolchildren around the places of military glory for setting closer relations with the friendly state. By his words, for schoolchildren from Purovskiy district it is very important to study tragic pages of history not only from school books but also to see historical places in reality. The head of the district visited Belarus within the delegation of Yamal. The agreement about trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural cooperation signed by the government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Minsk town executive committee became the result of the trip. Also the guests from Yamal participated in the opening of the international exhibition-fair "Brest. Commonwealth – 2014".
