A sportswoman from Yamal Kseniya Maksimova won the victory in the championship of Russia in weightlifting among juniors. The competitions took place in Bashkortostan, more than 170 sportspeople from 43 regions participated in them.

Kseniya performed in the weight 63 kilograms. The most acute struggle in both types of programs took place between Ksenia Maksimova and Alexandra Kozlova. In the barbell snatch she was ahead of her opponent on one kilogram. In the clean and jerk Kozlova tried her best, but in the last attempt she could not lift the barbell weighing 116 kilograms. Ksenia put the winning point, lifting the barbell in 114 kilograms. Ksenia Maksimova is the master of sports of Russia of international class. She is the champion of the Russian junior championship, the winner of the All-Russian competitions among sports schools, the silver medalist of the European championship among juniors.
