Sportspeople from Yamal won the Cup of Russia in the northern all-around

The Cup of Russia in the northern all-around was completed in Khanty-Mansiysk. 11 teams from different regions participated in the competitions. In total 107 people were the participants.

The team of Yamal won the Cup of Russia in the northern all-around with the result 607 points. The team of Krasnoyarsk Krai took the second place. The representatives of Yugra – the host of the competitions – took the third place.

The students of the regional sports school for children and youth in ethnic kinds of sport showed worthy results in the individual ranking. Matvey Laptander from Priuralskiy district became the best in throwing of an axe at a distance. Another sportsman from Priuralskiy district Yuriy Laptander took the second place in throwing of an axe at a distance and throwing of a tynzyan on a khorey (a rope lasso for catching a reindeer on a long-pole for driving a reindeer sleigh). Maksim Salinder from Yamalskiy district won the silver medal in the all-around. Viktor Segoy from Purovskiy district took the third place in the triple ethnic jump. Maria Kurtyamova from Shuryshkarskiy district jumped 303 times across narty - ethnic sleighs and took the third place on the winners’ podium.
