Sportspersons from Yamal became winners and prizewinners of the Cup of Russia on powerlifting

The results of the Cup of Russia on powerlifting among men and women were summed up in Muravlenko. According to the information given to a correspondent of “Sever-Press” by the head secretary of the competitions Mukharbek Khosroyev, in the results of six-days competitions the representatives of Yamal have climbed the winner’s podium for 8 times.

Thus, Kirill Krut from Noyabrsk took the first place in the weight category up to 59 kilograms, Igor Kislyak from Tazovskiy and Sergey Dunduk from Noviy Urengoy became the silver medalists in the weight categories up to 59 and up to 120 kilograms, respectively. Bronze medals were won by athletes from Noyabrsk - Natalia Melnikova (up to 57 kilograms), Daria Gerasimova (up to 72 kilograms), Roman Bakhshiyev (up to 66 kilograms) and Gennady Yadne (up to 59 kilograms) from Tazovskiy district and Zinfur Kashayev from Gubkinskiy (up to 120 kilograms). Also, the representatives of Yamal showed the high score in the team competitions, where the women took the first place, the men - the second, just on one point being behind the winning team from Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. Also Alexander Belinsky from Noyabrsk was included to the top ten strongest athletes among men. Vladislav Chvalov from Tarko-Salye in the weight category of 105 kilograms fulfilled the standard of Master of sports of Russia, five representatives of Yamal passed the qualifying standard of candidate master of sports. All athletes, coaches, representatives received prizes with symbols of Yamal. The athletes participating in the competitions received memorable gifts from partners of the competitions. The leadership of the Russian Powerlifting Federation marked good organizing of the competitions. In total 155 athletes participated in the Cup of Russia on powerlifting. The delegation of Yamal was represented by 98 athletes from Tazovskiy and Purovskiy districts, the towns Noyabrsk, Noviy Urengoy, Gubkinskiy and Muravlenko. The competitions were conducted in town sports center.
