The annual results of work in the Arctic will be summed up in Saint Petersburg within the forum

The 6th international forum “The Arctic: Present and Future” will take place in Saint Petersburg from the 5th to the 9th of December. Representatives of specialized federal ministries and departments, regional bodies of the power, commercial companies, scientific and research organizations and mass media will participate in its work.

The forum is being organized by the interregional public organization “The Association of Polar Explorers”. Within the forum the participants will sum up the annual results of the arctic agenda of the country and will form important directions of interaction between the power and the society on development of the Arctic zone. The resolution will become the final document of the forum also as in the previous years, as it is informed on the website of “The Association of Polar Explorers”. The document is a consolidated response of the society on practical fulfillment of state policy of the country in socioeconomic development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The resolution will be formed on the basis of suggestions of the participants of the forum and also executive bodies of the power of Russian regions and will be sent to the State Commission on Arctic Development. The registration of the participants for the forum “The Arctic: Present and Future” is taking place now. Also suggestions on discussion directions of the event and initiatives to the final public resolution of this year are being collected.
