The Arctic cultural forum. New ideas and projects will attract the bigger number of residents of Yamal to cultural institutions

The big and significant cultural event – the three-day Arctic cultural forum was finished in Yamal. Prominent experts and specialists in different spheres of culture of Ural Federal Okrug and other regions of Russia participated in its work. The leading specialists shared new ideas, presented image-building projects of cultural institutions.

“Culture of participation – culture of the future” became the basic theme of the forum. The work was conducted on 4 directions: schools of art, museums, libraries and houses of culture. The work in sections was designed in such a way in order in maximum to immerse to the issues under consideration. Lectures, presentations, workshops and various trainings and master classes assisted to it. Thus, signing of the agreement on cooperation between the National library of Yamal and the Russian library for youth became the result of the work. According to the director of the National library of Yamal Natalia Sikhvardt, it is clear that youth is the category of people, who are difficult to be attracted to the library. Different and unusual forms of activity were presented also in work of museums and children’s schools of arts. Museum employees received the information, how the museum would be able to earn money, and were taught, how to work in a new style. According to an expert from Moscow Anna Shcherbakova, such events actually break stereotypes and make employees of houses of cultures work in a new way, to come to people. Cultural employees of Yamal received new ideas, knowledge, new projects, which will attract the bigger number of visitors to cultural institutions.
