The Arctic cultural forum will gather more than three hundred participants in Noviy Urengoy

The second Arctic cultural forum will take place in Noviy Urengoy from the 13th to the 17th of October.

Prominent figures of culture and science, heads of regional and municipal establishments, leading specialists of all directions of cultural activity, theorists and practitioners, innovators, representatives of non-commercial organizations will become its participants. It is expected that the event will gather more than 300 people. The forum is being conducted at support of the government of Yamal and at participation of the Union of Museums of Russia and the Russian National Committee of the International Council of Museums, the Russian Library Association, regional branches of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Russian Military History Society. The program includes presentations, public lectures, discussion meetings, trainings, round tables and other events. Among them there is the extended sitting of the collegium of the Department of culture, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the sitting of the Council of young specialists. The best creative achievements of the cultural community of Yamal will be presented within exhibitions and concerts. The forum will be conducted in six sections: “The museum in the modern socio-cultural space”, “Conceptual models of the modern library: the vector of development”, “Cluster development of handicraft and tourism as a direction of development of socio-economic services”, “New technologies in conducting of cultural and leisure activities”, “The role of the state historical-cultural expertise in strategic planning of development of the Arctic zone” and “Information policy in cultural institutions: forming of the capital of publicity”. According to the information given to a correspondent of IA “Sever-Press” in the regional Department of culture, the first Arctic cultural forum took place in Salekhard in 2014 – in the Year of culture. More than 300 people became its participants: representatives of 118 institutions of culture and art, 8 institutions of education and tourism and also representatives of 16 Russian regions and 2 foreign countries.
