The center for medical prevention of Yamal was recognized the best in Russia

The results of the contest for the best center for medical prevention in 2015 were summed up in Moscow on the All-Russian conference “Prevention of non-infectious diseases and health of Russia’s population”.

The center for medical prevention of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug sent works for all 6 nominations. By the results of scrutinizing of numerous contest applications, the center for medical prevention of Yamal was recognized the best in Russia. The deputy head physician of the establishment Natalia Polovodova received the diploma and the precious present. The regional center for medical prevention was founded in June of 2013. During almost three years of work it showed itself as the leading center for the whole preventive activity in the region. Today the center has powerful personnel potential – 5 candidates and one doctor of sciences, physicians of the highest category, including a therapist, an endocrinologist, a pediatrician, a psychiatrist, a dentist and other specialists. Since the first days of foundation the establishment has been headed by doctor of medical sciences, an independent head specialist of the department of health protection of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug on preventive medicine Sergey Tokarev. Every year the specialists conduct about 100 traveling medical activities, in the course of which more than 2000 people pass medical examination. Besides, the structure of the establishment includes the health center, where any person can pass the complex of diagnostic activities. About 5000 northerners pass medical examination in the center. For the present day the center for medical prevention successfully fulfills all measures directed to prevention from cardiovascular and other non-infectious diseases. Every year the specialists of the establishment conduct not less than 100 traveling preventive actions and also career-guidance activities with schoolchildren, publish articles in regional and municipal mass media and speak on television and radio. They also conduct public surveys in social networks under the brand “Yamal – territory of health”, publish articles and answer questions of population. The specialists of the center closely cooperate with bodies of the legislative power: this week they prepared suggestions for the project of recommendations of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on health care.
