The chairman of the State Duma called the Northern Sea Route the point of development of new architecture of trading relations on the LNG market

The representational delegation of deputies of the State Duma being headed by the chairman Vyacheslav Volodin arrived in Sabetta on the Yamal Peninsula. The visiting session of the Council of the State Duma is taking place here under the chairmanship of Vyacheslav Volodin with participation of the leaders of the factions, the governor of Yamal Dmitry Kobylkin, the chairman of the Board of “NOVATEK” Leonid Mikhelson and the director general of “Yamal LNG” Yevgeniy Kot.

The participants of the working trip are getting acquainted to infrastructure of the largest industrial projects being fulfilled in the Yamal Arctic: the plant “Yamal LNG” and the seaport of Sabetta new for the country. The head of the Yamal region considers extremely important to conduct such working conferences directly on locations, where such powerful projects are fulfilled. “It is possible to talk a lot and beautifully about what is planned. But it is better to see with own eyes what it really is”, as the governor of Yamal said. Dmitry Kobylkin thanked NOVATEK management for supporting the idea of conducting such event. He notes that Yamal is always open for meetings and discussions of the most important issues on development of the region and the country. According to Vyacheslav Volodin, this project forms the Northern Sea Route. “With its help it is possible to develop new architecture of trading relations on the LNG market, where we are represented not very effectively. With introduction of the project we receive the opportunity to be among the leaders in LNG deliveries”, as Volodin said. As he reminds, the project is being fulfilled on the principle of public-private partnership, and this form, according to the speaker of the State Duma, proves its worth. It should be noted that in his report on the conference Dmitry Kobylkin is focusing on development of transport infrastructure for providing of national security of the country.
