The delegation from Yamal is participating in CITM-2018 in Shanghai

Representatives of tourist industry of Yamal joined the Russian delegation participating in the international tourism exhibition CITM-2018 in Shanghai. This information was given to the news agency “Sever-Press” in the regional department for youth policy and tourism.

Yamal is participating in CITM-2018 for the first time as part of the unified national stand of Russia in the modern ecological style. It is open today at the exhibition. It will bring together representatives of management bodies in the sphere of tourism, hotels, hotel chains and other accommodation objects, tour operators and employees of travel agencies for domestic and inbound tourism from different regions of Russia.

Participation in the exhibition was confirmed by the St. Petersburg committee for tourism, the tourism committee of Leningrad region, the Baikal tourism center, representatives of the Azimut hotels chain, tour operators specializing in the Chinese direction – “The tour around the country”, “Any Way Tour” and other enterprises of the branch.

The business program of the exhibition includes workshops, conferences and roundtables on current topics in the tourist environment and also foresees visits to the office of leading tour operators in China.

The exhibition will present 2500 stands of tourist objects and companies, 600 Russian and international delegations from 100 countries.

China is the leader among other countries in the number of tourist trips to Russia. According to Rosstat (Federal State Statistics Service), the number of tourists from China increased in 2017 on 15% in comparison to 2016 and made 1 million 480 thousand trips. In the first six months of 2018 the tourist flow from China increased on 21% - up to 667 thousand trips in comparison to the same period of the previous year.

The exhibition CITM (China International Travel Mart) is held under the aegis of the China National Tourism Administration.
