The ecological project of gas workers and the children’s ecological station became the winner of the contest

A joint project of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” and the children’s ecological station of Noviy Urengoy became the winner of the contest for ecological projects online. Its results were announced at the online conference on the Ecologist’s Day, the 5th of June, by Vladimir Grachev, the president of the Vernadsky Foundation, and Olga Plyamina, the executive director of the Foundation.

The winner’s diploma was given to the project “The distance learning laboratory of the Yamal research school”. Its motto is “the quarantine will end - the knowledge will remain”, as the service on public relations and communication with mass media of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” informs. The project is dedicated to forming of distance educational environment for enhancement of knowledge in geology, paleontology, ecology and other natural science disciplines. More than 60 educational and informative video lectures and video tours were created for the online format. The total number of views exceeded 35 thousand, what speaks about high quality and demand for such work.

“For more than 20 years the Vernadsky Foundation has successfully combined efforts of the society, business, and the state in solving of ecological problems”, said Gennady Lipetskiy, the manager of the project and the director of the children’s ecological station of Noviy Urengoy. – “In today’s situation, thanks to organizing of the online contest of ecological projects, the Foundation directed activity of organizations in our country to implementation of projects in a new, popular format.
