The exhibition of works by a bone-carving craftsman from Yamal Sergey Luginin is traveling around Ural region

The famous bone-carving craftsman, the chairperson of the board of the regional branch of the Union of artists of Russia, the director of the regional House of crafts Sergey Luginin is conducting his exhibitions around the whole Ural region.

Last year within the Year of culture he presented his art-works in Tyumen. Later the exhibition moved to the town Kurgan and again came back to Tyumen land, to the town Yalutorovsk, where it is situated now. According to the information given by Sergey Luginin to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press", he plans to bring his works to Yekaterinburg. He planned these exhibitions together with another famous craftsman Minsalim Timergazeyev, with who he cooperated during many years. They visited the museum of bone-carving art in Yekaterinburg, preliminarily having talked to its employees. As he informs, he plans to participate in opening of the exhibition that, more likely, will take place in June. Being the head of the regional House of crafts and the chairperson of the regional branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, Sergey Luginin marked big amount of work done during the latest years. As he notes, many serious activities were initiated in Yamal. The exhibition of bone-carving art "The Soul of the North" is the pride of the region. Specialists in Yamal are the only ones, who conduct it once in two years in Russia, and probably in the world. There is no other place, where such big number of bone-carving craftsmen gathers together. Yamal tries to gather everyone, from the whole world, as the artist says. Also he notes that the international festival of park sculpturing "Legends of the North" is another bright event. Craftspeople from India, New Zealand, Canada and Poland participated in it. Besides, the exhibition of modern art "Art-Yamal" is conducted in the region for artists. Also Yamal plain-air took place twice successfully. As Sergey Luginin tells, this year the plain-air also was international, it aroused a powerful resonance. The society of amateurs of Yamal plain-air was created in Moscow. This project will be continued when it is possible.
