The first congress of physicians of Yamal started in Noviy Urengoy

The first congress of physicians of Yamal is taking place in the town Noviy Urengoy. During two days physicians from the towns Salekhard, Noyabrsk, Gubkinskiy, Muravlenko, Labytnangi, Nadym, Tarko-Salye and the settlements Pangody, Aksarka and Tazovskiy will share experience and ideas on development of the system of health protection.

By the information given to a correspondent of IA "Sever-Press" by the manager on public relations of the regional department of health protection Olga Shulyak, the basic idea of the congress is in increase of prestige of the profession "physician", assistance in perfection of the system of health protection in Yamal, inculcation of the system of self-regulation in professional medical activity. The participants will scrutinize opportunities to advance ideas of mentoring of young specialists, cooperation of science and practice, education of young scientists in hospitals of Yamal. The pilot project on uninterrupted additional education in large towns of Yamal will start in Noviy Urengoy in September. The career-guidance project "I choose the profession of the physician" will receive support for popularization of the idea of medical classes in the region. The director of the department of health protection (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) Nikolay Vinokurov will speak on the report about state of the system of health protection. Specialized medical sections on therapy, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and for physicians-organizers of health protection will be opened within the congress. Professors from Tyumen Medical Academy and practicing doctors of the regional center will arrive to share experience. It is planned to open the exhibition "Health of Yamal" within the congress. 12 leading hospitals of the region will become its participants. They will present achievements in the sphere of medical treatment and prevention from diseases. On the exhibition it will be possible to pass express-examination in a portable diagnostic mini-laboratory, which arrived for Nadym. The department of prevention at the central town hospital of Noviy Urengoy will present its own stand. The physicians will demonstrate work of diagnostic equipment and will give consultations to citizens. The winners of the contest "Golden personnel of Yamal medicine" will be announced on the congress. In the region it is the first professional contest, in which physicians and medical nurses participated. Experienced specialists and beginners are among them. Awards will be given on the nominations "My choice is my vocation", "Potential of Yamal medicine", "Medicine is my life".
