The icebreaker “Tor” will start icebreaking support of ships in the seaport of Sabetta

The icebreaker “Tor” belonging to the enterprise “Rosmorport” is arriving to the seaport of Sabetta.

Its arrival to the Gulf of Ob is being expected soon. The icebreaker will support ships within building of the largest Russia’s plant on production of liquefied natural gas “Yamal LNG”. “Tor” will fulfill work on icebreaking support of ships on the water area, handling of the mooring line and further help at mooring of transport ships, as it is informed on the website korabli.eu. According to the contract, conducting of the work is planned till next June. During the previous winter navigation in the seaport of Sabetta the icebreaker “Tor” conducted icebreaking support of 219 ships, fulfilled 50 operations of supply replenishment and cutting away ice from 21 ships and also 154 pilotage operations.
