The largest investment projects will provide sustainable development of economy in Yamal

The sitting of the working group on strategic planning and regional development at the council on economic policy at the plenipotentiary envoy of the President in Ural Federal Okrug took place in Yekaterinburg.

A deputy governor of Yamal Dmitriy Artyukhov and the chief federal inspector on Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Alexander Yamokhin participated in it in the mode of a videoconference. The participants of the sitting discussed the issue on coordination of activity on strategic planning and socioeconomic development of regions included to Ural Federal Okrug. Dmitriy Artyukhov reported about the situation in Yamal. As he informs, necessary legal base for elaboration of regional strategic documents was prepared in the conditions of the new federal law on strategic planning. Correcting of the strategy of socioeconomic development of Yamal is taking place. New macroeconomic conditions and priorities of development of the region – modernization of economy, sustainable economic growth, providing of national security and strengthening of a role of the Arctic in the Russia’s economy will be considered in it. It is planned to provide sustainable tempos of development of the regional economy at the expenses of introduction of the largest investment projects. In the prospect, Yamal will actively participate in fulfillment of the updated state program on economic and social development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation till 2020, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
