The photo album of Yamal and Gydan has an electronic version

The electronic version of the photo album of Yamal and the Gydan Peninsula is published on the official website of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg”. The information was given to the news agency “Sever-Press” in the service for public relations and communication with mass media of the gas-extracting enterprise.

As it should be reminded, the hardcover book was published in autumn of 2019 with support of the gas-extracting company. The presentation was held at Museum of fine arts in Noviy Urengoy. The electronic version makes the photo album available to the general public.

The publication is based on about 500 photos taken in the expedition to the state nature reserve “Gydanskiy”. They are complemented with cognitive information. The photo album is a kind of excursion to the reserved places of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug: the Gydan Peninsula and nearby islands. The book introduces the reader to unknown pages of history of the Arctic North, unique landscapes, animals and birds - inhabitants of these remote areas, many of which are listed in the Red Book. As it is noted in “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg”, this educational project allows everyone to look at the world in an unusual perspective, to think about the purpose of human in this amazing world.

The company transferred a part of the circulation to educational institutions and libraries of Noviy Urengoy, as well as municipalities on the territory of which the company conducts economic activity.
