The project of integrated development of the Northern Sea Route was sent to coordination with federal bodies of the executive power.

This information was given by the deputy minister for transport of Russia Viktor Olerskiy.

According to his words, the project foresees measures on navigation and hydrographic, emergency and rescue, hydro-meteorological support of shipping, construction of new icebreakers and also measures on development of sea ports situated on water areas of the Northern Sea Route, as portnews.ru informs. According to the data given by Viktor Olerskiy, till 2020 at the optimistic scenario the cargo stream on water areas of the Northern Sea Route is forecasted on the level 65 million tons per year.
