On the 17th of October the honorary consul of the Republic of Korea in Tyumen Oblast Igor Samkayev arrived in Yamal on the familiarization mission. In particular, he visited the Salekhard fish-processing plant. The honorary consul told journalists that he liked organizing of work on the enterprise and delicious, natural fish products presented in the tasting room. Igor Samkayev shared his plans to bring Korean technologies - ones of the most advanced in the world - to the region. As the honorary consul notes, the territory of the Republic of Korea is 14 times smaller than Tyumen Oblast, and here there is enough room to organize activity. Such cooperation would also help Korea in its further development.
“The presidents of both countries insist on it”, Igor Samkayev said. “The program on cooperation is called “Nine bridges”, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation outlined necessity three times to increase goods turnover, up to 30 milliard. I think it will work. The second wave of development is taking place in Yamal, and it also needs introduction of new technologies”.
According to the honorary consul, directions of development of cooperation were defined. They include, for example, science, student exchange. Korea has very strong healthcare system, and it ranks first as the most educated country in the world. Igor Samkayev attracts attention to the fact that people there really study and work much, having a rest only five days per year, therefore, technologies are rapidly advancing. Back in the 60-s, the Republic was rather backward, but a very big breakthrough was made.
The director general of the plant Denis Malyshev underlines that the talk is not about barter, it is not expected to change the fish to the technology. It is important for the enterprise to adopt new technologies, intensity of development from Korean colleagues as well as new vision of the project being in production of the plant.
“There is a desire to build long-term relations and to exchange experience”, as Denis Malyshev said. – “And then we shall see how everything will work. In Korea production is developing intensively enough. And with new partners the plant can develop much faster. Korean technologies touch upon processing, storage of fish, warehouse and transport logistics”.
The return visit of the delegation of Yamal to the Republic of Korea is scheduled for the beginning of next year. (It is possible to see photos on the Russian version: http://sever-press.ru/2018/10/17/respublika-koreja-i-jamal-navodjat-mosty-rech-idjot-o-razvitii-tehnologij/).
