The second wave of development will go beyond the arctic region

The regional social and informational project “Yamal: the second wave of development” was completed in Yamal.

More than 17 thousand northerners became its participants. Exhibitions-presentations and informational entertainment programs with participation of creative collectives were organized in all large municipalities. The information about Yamal was presented on stands, touch panels, in informational video materials and lectures. The show of robots was conducted for children. The choum (dwelling of reindeer herders; similar to a tepee) and the icebreaker “Yamal” in two variants – inflatable and in the form of a model, the mobile digital planetarium were set in different municipalities. Master classes and thematic games were conducted. Owing to the big number of positive comments from people of Yamal about the project, the organizers are considering the issue on expansion of its geography. It is planned that the second wave of development of Yamal will be presented in those regions and towns, where the large associations of fellow-countrymen are located – Tyumen and Kurgan regions, Yekaterinburg, Moscow and Saint Petersburg, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs. The project “Yamal; the second wave of development” was aimed at acquaintance of residents of Yamal with large projects being fulfilled in the Autonomous Okrug, prospects of economic and scientific development of the arctic region.
