The snowmobile race "Siberian Extreme" in Yamal will be dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory

30 travelers from Salekhard, Noviy Urengoy, Nadym, Nizhnevartovsk and Yekaterinburg will go to the snowmobile race "Siberian Extreme".

The length of the route will make about 2 thousand kilometers.

It is planned to overcome them during 10 days. During this time the participants of the race will learn about history and originality of Yamal and Krasnoyarsk Krai. This year "Siberian Extreme" is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of Defenders of the Fatherland announced by the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin. It was organized by "Yamal-tour", the regional department of youth policy and tourism. The ceremony of the start of the race is planned for the 12th of March from Noviy Urengoy. Then the expedition will continue its way around Purovskiy district. Near the settlement Ratta, Krasnoselkoup district, the participants will visit the geographical center (the centroid) of surface of the Russian state. It was calculated by Dmitriy Mendeleev in 1906. They will visit towns of Krasnoyarsk Krai Igarka and Dudinka, the village Surgutikha and the settlement Turukhansk. In the settlement Kureika the travelers plan to make photos of the pantheon dedicated to Iosif Stalin. The complex was built by convicts in the middle of the last century, and in the 60-s it was liquidated. The participants of the race will complete their travel on the 22nd of March in the settlement Gaz-Salye, Tazovskiy district.
