The spirit of Zapolyarye. The ecological route in Yamal will be calculated up to a millimeter

On the 25th of July the ecological organization “Green Arctic” will start the youth research expedition “The spirit of Zapolyarye”. (The note: Zapolyarye – transpolar regions). Ecologists, cartographers, medical employees, photographers and surveyors from Moscow and also from Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Sverdlovsk regions will participate in it.

In detail they will study geology of an island in the mountain river Sob. They will create its detailed map, will design basic infrastructure, will calculate allowable ecological load on the island. The talk is, for example, about the number of people optimal for one arrival, arrangement of possible river crossing. In the future it is planned to create a permanent multifunctional camp, which will be the starting point of ecological routes, including to the meteorological station on the mountain range Rai-Iz “Height 868”. According to the information given to a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press” in the regional department of physical culture and sport, also here the ecological organization “Green Arctic” will conduct the incredible five-day adventure race, approximately 100 artificial and natural obstacles will be organized for the participants.
