The terminal near Mys Kamenniy will allow offloading oil the whole year round

The company "Gazprom Neft Novy Port" offloaded about 110 thousand tons of oil during the winter navigation.

It was sent by sea through the Gulf of Ob by seven tankers accompanied by the icebreakers "Taymyr" and "Vaygach". The raw materials were pumped into the tankers through a line of hoses laid on ice. Disadvantage of such method is in so that it can be used only in winter. Construction of the oil loading remote terminal will allow solving this problem. A 70-meter construction looking like a tower crane is being assembled in 3.5 kilometers away from the coast, in the district of the settlement Mys Kamenniy. The terminal will be controlled remotely; tankers for loading will be able to come to it from any side. It is planned to complete its building in the beginning of 2016. According to the words of the chief of the directorate for major projects at "Gazprom Neft" Denis Sugaipov, winter offloading is only the beginning. It is necessary to confirm the opportunity of year-round transportation of oil by tankers from Novoportovskoye field.
