The tugboat “Pur” arrived to the port of Sabetta for work in the Gulf of Ob

The new tugboat “Pur” arrived to the port of Sabetta to fulfill work in the Gulf of Ob. It will moor ships with cargoes for building of the plant “Yamal LNG”, later – tankers with liquefied natural gas from Yamal.

As we should remind, the ceremony of hoisting of the state flag took place in Murmansk, to where the ship had arrived from Novorossiysk. Next day the tugboat went to the trip along the Northern Sea Route to Sabetta. “Pur” is able to overcome ice with the thickness 80 centimeters. The tugboat was built by the order of Atomflot and designed to perform sea towing and training of vessels in ports, conducting of escort operations, rendering help to vessels in distress and also extinguishing of fires. The maximum crew is ten people, six are enough for work. The speed on open water makes 14.4 knots. Autonomy on products reaches twenty days, on fuel - about five thousand nautical miles, as it is informed on the portal nord-news.ru.
