The voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was started in Yamal

The voting on amendments to the Basic Law of the Russian Federation was started in Yamal. As of the 25th of June 20589 people voted ahead of schedule, 90905 applications were submitted for the outdoor voting, and 2637 participants were tested. Employees of fuel and energy complex (12776 people) and indigenous residents (7813 people - 61.19%) participated in the early voting.

From the 25th of June to the 1st of July 208 main and 15 temporary voting stations will operate in Yamal from 08.00 to 20.00 o’clock. 6 voting stations in Nadymskiy district, Salekhard and Noviy Urengoy are equipped with outdoor platforms. 9 voting stations will work on house territories in Priuralskiy district and Noyabrsk. It was announced by the chairman of the regional election commission Andrey Gibert. The chairperson of precinct commission No.1001 of Salekhard Olga Alyokhina, according to the regulations, notified about the start of work. All necessary security measures have been taken at the voting station – thermometry is being fulfilled, single-use gloves, masks and pens are being issued. Social distance is strictly observed in the room. Sergey Yamkin, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug was one of the first to vote.
