The website of the Circumpolar Media Congress started its work in Yamal

Yamal is preparing actively for the full-scale media congress of circumpolar territories “Arctic Media World”. Now it is possible to learn about news on the website of the circumpolar media congress, which has recently started its work (https://www.arcticmediaworld.com). All the news about the congress will be placed here. Now all articles and official information are published in Russian, since August they will be accessible also in English.

According to the information given to a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press” in the department of international and external economic relations, general information about the upcoming event is available in the section “Congress”. Here it is possible to specify the working plan of the sections of the Circumpolar Media Congress. They are three: ecology in the Arctic, preservation of traditions of indigenous peoples and also economic cooperation of the countries of the Arctic zone. Information for journalists participating in the creative contest of the arctic mass media “We Live in the North” is placed in the section “Contest”. The Union of journalists of Yamal continues attracting experts to participation in the first Circumpolar Media Congress. Thus, the head of the chair of public relations of the faculty of journalism in the Institute “Higher school of journalism and mass communications” of Saint Petersburg State University Dmitry Gavra gave his consent to participation in the event. It is expected that the expert will speak in the section on economic cooperation of the countries of the Arctic zone. The famous film director Anastasia Lapsui will speak in the section on preservation of traditions of indigenous peoples. Also, a deputy of the State Duma Vladimir Pushkaryov will participate in the event. The Circumpolar Media Congress “Arctic Media World” is dedicated to celebration of the 88th anniversary of formation of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The event will take place from the 9th to the 11th of December in Salekhard. More than 200 representatives of the media community from circumpolar territories will participate in it. The regional department of international and external economic relations is the coordinator of the event.
