There are no analogues in the world. Advanced equipment is being manufactured for “Yamal LNG”

The process of import substitution in oil and gas industry grows every year. Production of industrial equipment in Tatarstan for Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is a striking example of solutions that can become a worthy alternative to products of western representatives. Interregional cooperation has been established between the Tatarstan Research and Production Enterprise “GKS” and the company “Yamal LNG” within one of the largest Russian projects for production, liquefaction and delivery of natural gas.

The complex “Yamal LNG” is located in the South-Tambeyskoye gas condensate field. Products of “GKS” are manufactured for the fourth technological line of the plant, which is being built with use the technology “Arctic Cascade” patented by NOVATEK. It is designed for maximum use of equipment from Russian manufacturers. Within the project the enterprise “GKS” creates high-tech industrial equipment for “Yamal LNG” - valve assemblies. The equipment being produced in Tatarstan is truly unique and has no analogues in the world, according to the website of the company “GKS”.

“Our enterprise has been designing and manufacturing technological valve assemblies for many years. The valve assemblies contain complex equipment, including control and measuring devices, filters, heating and ventilation systems, electrical installation equipment”, said Andrey Baluyev, the deputy director general of “GKS” and the director of the department of measuring systems and equipment.

According to him, now “GKS” is implementing the project of a valve assembly with the pressure of 100 MPa for “Yamal LNG”. The uniqueness of the equipment is in the capability to adjust pressure of reservoir gas at the outlet and its real-time accounting when performing operations on expanding of the gas collection network on the territory of the South-Tambeyskoye field.

“The level of pressure that our equipment can withstand is significantly higher than the level of pressure of other industrial production companies, both in Russia and abroad. Large production amounts of our company allow creating economically more profitable products with consistently high quality, what ensures high competitiveness of products being manufactured within the given cooperation”, said Andrey Baluyev.

Due to implementation of the valve assemblies on turnkey basis, the time of construction work of the customer is significantly reduced.
