International round-the-world oceanic flight by amphibious aircrafts will start in Samara on the 3rd of July. It will take place as a part of the Russian Arctic expedition “Your North” (Sever Vash).

The round-the-world flight will cover nine countries and will last 45 days. The participants of the expedition will visit northern regions of Russia, also the USA, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Great Britain. During the flight over the Arctic Ocean they will make 50 stops, 15 of them - in Russia: in Tyumen, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Yakutia, Chukotka and other regions. The participants of the expedition are planning to probe the earth from low altitudes, to explore atmosphere and also water in seas and rivers, to conduct experiments and nanotechnology researches, as arctic-info.ru informs. The work will be fulfilled in practically extreme conditions. The flight will be made on light-engine Russian amphibious aircrafts La-8 and Borey. It will allow assessing quality of domestic technologies being used in small aircraft.
