Tundra dwellers will receive consultations with use of instant messengers

The Union of reindeer herders of Yamal signed the agreement with the department for interaction with federal state authorities and justice of the peace of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The agreement provides for free consultation and legal assistance, including in languages of indigenous peoples of the North, and translation of laws and regulations into their languages. The information was given to a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press” by the executive director of the Union of reindeer herders of Yamal Timur Akchurin.

Within the agreement it is planned to provide consultation and legal assistance within the Reindeer Herder’s Day in Tarko-Salye and the holiday of peoples of the North in Noviy Urengoy.

Timur Akchurin notes that probably representatives of the Union of reindeer herders of Yamal will use the instant messengers Viber or WhatsApp for this purpose. In contrast to Skype, this type of communication allows always quickly answering questions from anywhere.

Representatives of the regional branch of the All-Russian council of local self-government and the regional branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia will also participate in the event to provide free consultation and legal assistance.
