Veterans of the town Gubkinskiy joined the regional action "The Victory Banner"

A copy of the Banner of the Victory was created in the town Gubkinskiy.

The head of the town Valery Lebedevich, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal Viktor Kazarin, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, schoolchildren, representatives of the town public and participants of the propaganda team participated in the ceremony. As Valery Lebedevich says, before celebration of the big jubilee in the town it is planned to conduct many activities. However, creation of a copy of the Banner of the Victory is the brightest of all. The story presented by the participants of the propaganda team about the Great Patriotic War, about a role and a place of Yamal in these events is extremely interesting for inhabitants of the town Gubkinskiy, especially for youth. But, of course, creation of a copy of the Victory Banner is the most impressive event, the Banner, which we remember from the childhood, the Banner, which became the symbol of the Victory in the bloodiest and most cruel war in history of the mankind, as he notes. The participants of the propaganda team conducted the excursion around the interactive exposition "The way to the Victory in the unity of the battlefront and the home front", presented the weapons of the Victory, told schoolchildren about heroes of Yamal, the convoy "White Sea – Dikson 5" and the tragedy in the Kara Sea that had happened in August of 1944. During the May holidays under this Banner people of Gubkinskiy will participate in celebrations of the Victory Day and will pass it to the Gubkinskiy museum of exploration of the North. The first copy of the Victory Banner in Yamal was created by the head of the region Dmitriy Kobylkin, thus he gave the start to the patriotic project. "The Victory Banner" is a wonderful project dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This action is tribute to memory of our fathers and grandfathers, who gave their lives in order we would live in peace, as Dmitriy Kobylkin underlines in his message to people of Yamal.
