Vladimir Putin thanked foreign workers for drilling in the Kara Sea

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin thanked foreign specialists for their contribution to organizing and conducting of drilling work together with Rosneft on the area Universitetskaya-1 in the Kara Sea, as RIA "Novosti" informs.

29 employees of the American companies ExxonMobil, Schlumberger and Halliburton and also the Norwegian company North Atlantic Drilling received the gratitude from the head of the state: drilling masters, engineers, drilling workers, supervisors, field engineers, superintendents on drilling and chiefs of platforms. As we should remind, last September Rosneft and ExxonMobil discovered the new field Pobeda in the result of drilling of a well in the Kara Sea. Reserves of oil on this area are evaluated in 130 million tons of oil and 499 milliard cubic meters of gas.
