What can not robots do? Professions of the future are being discussed in Noviy Urengoy

The plenary session “Digital transformation in oil and gas industry” took place within the gas forum in Noviy Urengoy. Discussion of new digital technologies was continued on it.

The deputy head of the town administration Aleksey Gorpinchenko welcomed the participants. As he notes, enterprises of oil and gas industry in much defined innovative way of development – exactly here unique technologies were used at development of extractive fields, extraction of raw materials, and preconditions for forming of innovative environment were created. As the deputy head underlines, nevertheless, there are still many important issues connected with oil and gas extraction, transportation and processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, solving of which can be provided also with development of digital economy. The first deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal Viktor Kazarin reminds that the country has no future without digital economy. Fulfillment of the governmental program “Digital economy of the Russian Federation” is calculated till 2024, as he says. Much depends on each person, in order plans on introduction of the following technologies would be embodied in Russia to reality, in which economic activity and life of people is fulfilled with help of electronic or digital technologies: “Internet of things”, “Smart production”, “Smart towns”, “Artificial intellect”, “Unmanned transport”. Since 2019 Russian schoolchildren will be taught to bases of IT-technologies. The senior generation will receive the opportunity of professional retraining in IT-sphere, what will allow avoiding unemployment connected with replacement of people by robots. And this is only the small list of changes of the future, which will be fulfilled. The program of the gas forum included discussion of professions of the future, the meeting with the head of Noviy Urengoy with participation of heads of enterprises, directors of schools and senior schoolchildren. The discussion included issues on changes on the labor market and, in this connection, organizing of vocational education in schools and personnel policy on enterprises, and the main thing – what to do today in order to stay competitive in new conditions. As the informational and analytical board of the town administration informs, the program of the forum also included the round tables: “Development and exploitation of extractive fields”, “Minimally-manned technologies in gas branch”, the panel discussion on the topic “Automation and IT. Information security”, the seminars-presentations “Complex decisions for automation and energy”, “Modern engineering and innovative technologies in valve industry”.
