Workers of oil and gas industry are celebrating the professional holiday

Aleksey Miller, the chairman of the management Board of the company Gazprom, held the conference call dedicated to the Day of workers of oil and gas industry, during which he congratulated his colleagues on the holiday. Aleksey Miller notes that no matter what events take place in the world, in the country, people always need gas, heat and electricity. Despite the fact that the global energy sector is facing serious difficulties, Gazprom operates reliably and with a large margin of safety, fully fulfilling its obligations to consumers.

“We are implementing strategically important projects in the European part of the country. First of all, I would like to mention projects on the Yamal Peninsula. Here we are increasing the production capacity of Bovanenkovskoye field. We are preparing for gas extraction in Kharasaveyskoye field - we have already started drilling production wells. There is consistent increase in productivity of the Northern gas transport corridor. New compressor capacities will come into operation in the next few months. At the same time, we are designing the main gas pipelines Bovanenkovo-Ukhta-3 and Ukhta-Torzhok-3”, he said.

Also the head of Gazprom told about large-scale work in the East of Russia, development of Kovyktinskoye field and increase in capacity of Chayandinskoye field, design and construction of gas pipelines, gas processing capacities, gasification of Russian regions and other areas of work and development of the company.

“Our professional holiday is also, as always, a reminder that the autumn-winter period is just around the corner. It is the time of maximum load on our production facilities, on the system. It is the time of increased attention and responsibility in each area of work. I am sure that Gazprom, as always, will pass this exam perfectly”, Aleksey Miller underlined.

According to the head of the company, Gazprom is a huge team that works in Russia and abroad. As a well-coordinated mechanism, it works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Aleksey Miller thanked his colleagues for their work and professionalism.

“Working, you see, does not become much easier, conditions are changing. But I am sure that we will successfully cope with all the challenges we have faced. We can cope with them, actually. Thus, let’s go to new success, to new achievements! Dear colleagues, we wish happiness, health, wellbeing to you and your families! And, as we say at Gazprom - we will continue working”, he concluded.

As it should be noted, in Yamal history of many populated areas and a large number of their inhabitants are closely connected with fuel and energy companies, with discovery and development of the largest extractive fields, origin and development of oil and gas industry. Traditionally, before the professional holiday, employees of enterprises located in the region receive well-deserved awards from the executive and legislative authorities of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, bodies of local self-governments, as well as industry and corporate awards.
